Game Chair

This emerging media image of the “sheik” and “cool” appearance of a game chair is really getting out of hand. Not only is it convincing, but it is outright false and bogus. There are so many reasons why a game chair does not compare to a bean bag chair, and this is just to list a few.

A lot of people feel like they are pressured into being “part of the club” or that the only way to be part of the gaming crowd is to purchase one of these fancy pants game chairs. In reality, there is nothing to a game chair. They are not only less comfortable than any other chair, but they have so many other downfalls.

A simple bean bag chair was always much better than a game chair from the beginning. Seriously, these complicated structures they are coming up with are anything but natural for a normal shaped person. After spending hours and hours in a gaming chair, perhaps you know what I am talking about when I mention the health risks. They are plastic, breakable, and impossible. All of the sudden you have a size problem and you have to consider your own weight and image before choosing your new game chair. This is not right, nor should it be encouraged. You can always count on a bean bag to form to whatever position you please, no matter who you are, what your size is, or what you look like. A bean bag chair does not care if you are short, tall, skinny, or any of that. A game chair does not offer that flexibility, nor does it work with you in the game.

Many of the gaming chairs styles are far from practical. There are so many different designs that actually impede in your game and get in the way from achieving the max results you are trying to accomplish. For example, having a drink cup holder too close to your body and controller can often get in the way of your elbows, or simply forming the arm rests too close together. Freeing up that space is vital to maneuvering quickly and concisely. How do you expect to be able to achieve that performance when your own body is confined that way? The aches and pains from being arched in such awkward positions will not only add up, but they could be permanent in the long scheme. There is just no comparing when it comes to that aspect. When it comes to a game chair and bean bag chair, bean bags will always win.

I always laugh about how much money people are just dropping on this whole video game chair thing. The scam is overwhelming. The prices are sky high for modest gamers, and all they have to do is pick up a bean bag chair and they will be set for life. Don’t let yourself become trapped in this new ploy. Do yourself a favor and stick with a bean bag.
